Seems like all over Blogland Kindred Spirits were able to meet this past weekend. Lauren Mumford hosted a beautiful party for some of her Blogland Friends.
I to was able to meet one of my Long time friends. Teresa Baker, from Dolls of Yore. I was sooo excited for two days before, that I literally couldn't sleep. Although, we didn't have much time, about 5 hours to be exact. We talked and talked and shared so much in that time. I wish I could rewind the moment and re-live it all over again. It was so magical and comforting at the same time. Sharing and talking about dolls as if the 5 hours were 5 minutes. Sharing with another person who totally "get's it". A person who doesn't pretend to want to listen or look at your dolls. Someone who actually REALLY does hang on every word you have to say about them and touches and handles your dolls in the same gentle fashion that you create them in. A person who understands and shares your passion.
We shared gifts and books...and so much more. We forgot all about the "real" world and we even forgot about lunch!!! At the last possible moment, we were able to have a cute little boy take our picture as a memory of the event....
My mind was racing even after I dropped her off and was on my way home. I thought of things that I really wanted to talk about or ask her...things that slipped my mind in the magic of the moment. Thank You T, for a magical day. I couldn't have asked for a better Birthday Treat. Thank you for the beautiful little soul that you placed in my care. She is doing very well and making new friends. I think she might even tell me her name soon. :0) I am honored to have my first China doll come from you. I will treasure her forever!
I also wanted to give a special Thanks to THE BEST Husband and Sister a girl could ever ask for. Without you both, I wouldn't have been able to have this opportunity. Thank you for taking the kids and allowing me to have this time. I Love You Both.
So, I am relaxed now...and trying to get back into the swing of creating. I have a couple new things to show you......Until Next Time. Many Blessings!
Oops!! I almost forgot...THANK YOU so much Jeannene for giving me the "Rockin Girl Blogger" Award!!!! I am so humbly honored and also blushing at all the nice things you said about me! :0) I am suppose to choose five of my own now.....That will be something I am going to need to think on and get back to you all on.....
