Ava Grace is a beautiful Child that was born on February 12, 2007. She entered this life with a condition called Pfeiffer Syndrome. A rare genetic disorder.
Little Ava has endured several surgeries already in her short little time here on earth. Unfortunately, she has many more to go.
I, along with several of my friends, are grouping together to participate in a Silent Auction in order to raise funds for the family and all the medical costs that they will endure. We will all be contributing a piece of Handmade Art to be Auctioned off. The Auction will take place Starting September 16, 2007 and Ending September 22, 2007. Please come out and bid on this wonderful cause.
God is good and He is Great. Let us Thank him for all the Blessings in our Life, by participating and Giving Back to Those in need. If you are interested in participating. Please email Blondie Spence. The official Blog can be viewed HERE.
I am off to start working on my special doll. I will keep you posted with the progress. Thank you for taking the time to read about Little Ava Grace.
Reality has slapped me.... No more beautiful beaches...and salt air.....days filled with swimming and fun. Fresh seafood with Malt Vinegar. Boat rides to the Island....
No more sailing off into the sunset.......
Or beautiful sunsets on the pond.........
The cousins will have to wait another year to see each other and be silly again.......
Now, we are left with only memories of a WONDERFUL vacation, so desperately needed. Thank God for Opportunity, Memory and Camera's. We were able to preserve this wonderful precious time and make memories that will hopefully last a lifetime.
These are just a few of the 292 photos that we took. I hope that you enjoyed viewing them and got a sense of peace and serenity.
Until next year.........We will dream of you Ms. Cape.
It is a ritual for me and my dear husband everytime we cross this bridge, to open our windows and sniff the Salt Air! It is a little piece of heaven. We are so very blessed to have roots here on Cape Cod. To be able to kick back and relax in a private relaxed setting....
How cool is this? The very first think you see when you cross over the Bourne Bridge on the Rotary! Have you ever driven on a rotary?
Here is a little island that we boat over to and are able to dig for Quahog's!! I am to chicken to swim in the sea. The jellies are there to sting ya, but my husband and his father are fishermen at heart. :0) I get to have fun looking for shells and crabs on the beach!
My absolute FAVORITE meal (next to a big bowl of sghetti) is a Scallop plate with fries and malt vinegar!!! Oooohhhh I am getting excited!
A drive along the shore to see the famous Nobska lighthouse.
A drive along the shore at dusk watching the sun set is so romantic! I hope that we get a chance to get away just one night to steal a kiss on the beach!
So, you guessed it by now....I am leaving for a few days for a mini vacation to Cape Cod. I will return with sand between my toes and some photos to share. Once you get the sand from the Cape between your toes....you will always return. That is how the old saying goes. My husband is a born and raised Cape Codda and even though I wasn't born and raised there, I sure have grown to love it. I'll be back soon.
So much has happened in my life to help me realize the Important things that I am blessed with . To truly think about them and appreciate them as GIFTS that I have been blessed with being able to Live with everday. Just yesterday I had a day where I was pondering.....
When is the last time you had a water balloon fight?
Or had a Water Balloon Fight running through the sprinkler?
When is the last time you ate a Freezeee Popsicle? Or how about 3 in a row???
When is the last time you gave a thought to where and how the food at your meal was grown. How many hours of work was invested into just one meal?
When was the last time you stopped to smell the flowers and thought about the miracle that is in each and every petal?
All of these things were on my mind yesterday. I had a water balloon fight with my kids, I ran through the sprinkler, giggling like a little girl. I actually ate and enjoyed 3 freezee pops in a row! Matching colors with my kids so that we could be "twins". :0) I harvested from my garden several green beans and cucumbers that we ate at dinner and thought about all the farmers in the world and how they dedicate their lives with hard work to supply us with food.
I stopped to smell the MANY "Flowers" that are in my life. That make me Happy each and every day. I am so grateful. No matter the obstacles in life that we are presented with, at the end of the day.......God is Good, God is Great and I Thank Him.
