Spritual Growth
The past few weeks I have been digging into my soul and working on my spirituality of just "Being". I am reading the Book by Eckhart Tolle "Awakening Your Lifes Purpose". It is a very deep book, but I believe that I was meant to read it. So often lately, I have felt empty and unsatisfied, which is far from the truth in my life. I am blessed and grateful. This book shows you how material things and "form" and living with thoughts of the Past and Future can affect your daily JOY or lack there of in life. I believe I am on the right track to finding that in my life again, by living in the Present Moment and taking it for what it is and enjoying today.
I want to thank Nancy Malay for awarding me with the You Make My Day Award! I am giving this award to everyone that stops by to read my blog and supports my art. It is and you are all TRULY BLESSINGS in my life.
Suzanne from Painter of The Past also tagged me to write a six word Meme. Wow this is a hard one. There are rules here and I am a rule breaker....I have tried so hard to come up with one and I am still looking. I have found a perfect one, but it is 10 words. What a good challenging way to read positive thoughts everyday though! I will post mine once I come up with it I promise.
Oh, and I have not forgotten about my 100th post giveaway! I am so sorry for the delay. I have been so busy that I haven't had time but I will be finishing up the dolly soon and announcing the winner. I promise. Have a wonderful day!

"I think we all need to remember to be grateful and satisfied for what we have." I always have to remember, or try to remember that all I have is a blessing and not to be sad because I don't have more!!
Sounds like a great book. I think it was the one you were telling me about.
Hugs,
Jeannene

Sounds like a very good book. It is so important for us to remember the wonderful blessings that we have everyday. I know that you do but some times we fall into a bit of a slump and we need a good read to help us through those times. Well, I hope that you had a wonderful Easter! Congratulations on your award! You definitely make my day whenever I come by for a visit!;)

Helo Tink. I'm so sorry you've been struggling lately. Sounds like you are on the right path to healing though. I have a wonderful book called "Simple Abundance ~ A Day Book Of Comfort & Joy" it's wonderful, I have read it many, many times. One of the lessons is to say what you are thankful for each night before going to sleep...no matter how hard your day might have been. It really helps greatly...it let's you know that no matter how troubling or difficult your life may be....you can always find something to be thankful for.
You are in my prayers.
Blessings

I pray that you can find satisfaction in the Lord, for I really feel he is the ultimate answer to filling emptiness in ones soul. I care for you and have really enjoyed our friendship. I am not sure where you stand in religion...It really doesn't matter to me.. I will just pray for you and that you will find contentment. The book does sound good.I hope that will help you. Your friend, Mica

take every day as it comes and find the light in the dark. There is always that chink and you can make it brighter just by having faith that it will get better. Live today and always as though it were your last, is a saying that I have often heard and not taken much notice of but after the death of my sister in law on saturday in her early forties suddenly without warning, I am trying to work towards that way of living. Today is a good day because we are here with our loved ones and we have this moment. We are all on a journey of discovery and all we need is an open mind and heart, patience and courage, but above all love. ( have you read 5 people you meet in heavan, I think that is the title, by Mitch Albom, take a look)

Sounds like a good book. Occasionally there are some that come into your life at the right time. I read "The Road Less Traveled" about 11 years ago and when I finished the book I thought that everything in that book I knew before I was born but had forgotten. Several books like the "Four Agreements" ,any of Richard Bach books and as Florrie mentioned any of Mitch Albom's books have come along and given me the same feeling. I feel like you do every so often too. It's hard sometimes to say that you feel empty because you're supposed to be thankful and happy, but we're human and I think most people on some level feel this way at one time or another or often. Great books help us realize that we aren't alone in this and I think help us remember truths we knew long before we came here.
Cant wait for your 100th post. I'll be there and cross my fingers I win one of your dolls!!

A better book to give you comfort and spiritual growth would be The Bible.
Hope you are feeling better soon.
